Software
engineer.

I'm Adil. I started at 1337 Coding School writing an HTTP/1.1 server in C++, one raw socket at a time, so I know what happens below the framework. Now I build products on top of that, and I care as much about how they feel to use as how they run.

About me

From curiosity
to production.

I grew up with a passion for computers from the earliest days of my life. When I finished high school, that curiosity pushed me toward web development. I started teaching myself on the side while studying economics, not because I planned to, but because I couldn't stop.

Somewhere along the way I found out about 1337 Coding School, and something clicked. By 2023 I'd finished my economics bachelor and got my acceptance to 1337 in the same month. I had a safe path and a risky one. I took about five seconds to decide and didn't look back.

1337 pushed me from interfaces down to systems: an HTTP/1.1 server in C++, a POSIX shell in C, networking, memory, and a K3s cluster delivered through Argo CD. Three years later I'm a software engineer who starts from how the system works, then cares just as much about how the product feels on a real device. Security, architecture and interface all matter to me. Not just making it work, but making it right.

  • ↳Shipped the company website (React, Three.js, Framer Motion) on Vercel with CI/CD, with a Figma design system and brand guidelines the team still builds on. It gave a three-person startup a live, SEO-optimized public presence.
  • ↳Audited the Akili codebase (frontend architecture, API contracts, technical gaps) and rebuilt 4 core screens in Next.js with a component-based architecture. This improved UX and consistency and put the product on a launch-ready footing.
  • ↳Proposed and led the move from Celery to Inngest: documented the trade-offs, built a proof of concept with 3 event-driven pipelines, and got co-founder approval. The integration decoupled 3+ long-running processes from the request lifecycle and improved platform reliability.
  • ↳Contributed to the FastAPI backend (endpoints, business logic) and PostgreSQL data modeling and query optimization alongside the frontend rebuild.
  • ↳Ran 10+ stakeholder interviews with researchers, NGOs, and government agencies. The findings redefined the product's core value proposition before more was built.
  • ↳Built a GitHub Projects workflow from scratch and documented decisions and blockers, so a US-based CTO could review and validate work asynchronously without constant meetings.

  • Cursor × MiniMax × Healthcare Hackathon (24 hours)

My team of four built Bidaya, a digital child health record verified by clinics. It connects parents, doctors and pharmacies in one secure flow, so a child's medical follow-up no longer depends on a paper booklet that can be lost or damaged. We built it with Next.js. 1337 Coding School and UM6P's medical faculty and hospitals were among the organizers.
